My Favorite Universal Law

ree

The themes do not come neatly in weekly doses, but they come close. As I talk with people throughout the week, I am always surprised how there seems to be a common thread, a common theme that develops. Sometimes the common thing is it appears everyone I spoke to had nachos appear in their lives and it was in some way relevant enough to talk about. Other times it is what gives me inspiration for the weekly writing. This week I am inspired to talk about my favorite law in science, a universal law – and how you can apply in your life.

My favorite universal law is the law of polarity – the principle of having two distinct opposing poles or sides. Everything exists in opposing pairs and these opposing forces work to create balance and harmony. There is duality in everything. What this also means, is that there can never be just all “bad” things – it is against the laws of science.

For clarity, here are more examples of how there are opposing sides: where there is a left, there is a right; where there is a front, there is a back; where there is up, there is down; there is light and there is dark. These opposing sides are needed to even distinguish what we actually have or are observing.

Switching back to the negatives and positives, if there were no negatives -or bad times, we would have no way to distinguish when there are positives. Everything would likely become rather blah. This law also indicates that even in our negative times, that positives exist somewhere, we just need to seek them out or be in the right mindset to have the ability to identify them.

There you have it, my favorite universal law of science. It is what gives the world variety, balance, and hope. In the worst of times there is an opposing force that also exists.
